The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions for the community.

SASSA will be rendering companies including new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency explained it's alarmed concerning the significant quantity of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim with the Integrated Registration Outreach sassa status Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some significant quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This really is due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no completely functional office devoted to service the area every day.
